What we say:

At A Glance

The Maton EBG808 Artist builds on Maton's long history of world class guitars. Hand made in Australia Maton have consistently delivered on some truly professional quality, and with Artists such as Tommy Emmanuel on the roster it's clear many big names agree. Sustainable Australian timbers, fantastic sounding electronics, and a modern climate controlled work space that allow luthiers to work at their best is a recipe that works well for Maton.

Features We Love:

Australian Timber

Unlike most acoustics you'll find some very different timbers on Maton guitars. To keep things sustainable and reduce their impact on the environment Maton opt to use Australian timbers that are close to home. Not only does this have a positive effect on the environment but gives you a unique tone that you won't find on many acoustics.

Hand Made

Bill May's, the founder of Maton guitars, philosophy has always been about individuals working on each guitar. This philosophy continues today. Maton has a state of the art factory with proper climate control not only for the wood but for the workers. Each luthier can feel comfortable to send the time they need making sure every guitar is built as well as it can be. Every worker at the Maton factory plays guitar and is passionate about delivering the best for their customers.

AP5 Pro Pickup

Maton electronics have a long history of development, the previous APMic system was developed with guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel. The AP5 Pro is the next evolution of that pickup and now considered by many to be one of the finest on the market. Just like the guitars every aspect of this pickup has been thought about. The pickup uses a combination microphone and piezo system which can be blended for the perfect sound.

Who Is It For?

This Maton is perfect for artists, songwriters, and performers. It's small size allows for a detailed sound while the Australian timbers keep things resonant giving you an overall dynamic package.
