What we say:

Whether you are an international touring guitarist, a studio musician or a hobby player, every modern guitarist requires a large selection of the best amps and pedals in history to get the tones they want. They also want these sounds to be fully editable and changeable and they want it all in a super-accessible package. Sounds like a lot? It would’ve been a few years back but these days, most forward-thinking guitarists have fully embraced the notion of HD modelling and digital rigs. The quality of processing has come on to such a degree that even the most discerning set of ears is having a hard time distinguishing from an actual vintage 60s 12” tweed combo and a High Definition model of one. It’s a good time to be a guitar player!

Headrush are a new brand on the scene but their collective experience and influence on the digital scene is large: they pioneered an earlier era of modelling with the Eleven Rack, a system updated, redesigned and rebooted here in the brand new Headrush Pedalboard.

This tough looking steel board looks like it could take a kick from Robocop. It houses 12 equally tough looking footswitches and a large 7” touchscreen. This means you can drag and drop your effects chain on the fly: what a cool feature! Each footswitch also has it’s own ‘scribble’ strip which is colour coded to correspond to info on the main screen. This all helps the design stay uncluttered and easy to navigate as well as being easy to read and operate from a dark stage.

All of this is great but it’s all for nothing if the sounds aren’t up to scratch. Thankfully, we can report that the quality of the HD models and effects on the Headrush Pedalboard is superb. The modelling section captures not only the tone of any given amp but the feel, response and dimension to make your playing experience as authentic as possible. This is what was always missing in the past with modelling devices: that indefinable combination of elements that build together to create an excellent and satisfying experience.

This is a fully professional piece of gear: you can use it via USB to record with; it has balanced outputs for DI’ing to the house desk; there’s MIDI in & out and there’s also a stereo FX loop. This unit both frees up your sound and allows you to have a portable collection of the best guitar sounds in history, all controlled with the greatest of ease. Try one today.

Specification

Featuring a finely-tuned Quad-Core Processor and powered by its exclusive Eleven® HD Expanded™ DSP software, the Headrush Pedalboard™ delivers the most versatile, realistic-sounding and responsive amplifier, cabinet, microphone and fx models ever found in a floorboard guitar FX processor.

The 7-inch touch display enables you to touch, swipe and drag-and-drop to instantly create and edit your rigs in an unprecedentedly realistic and intuitive way.

Plus, it features gapless preset changes with reverb and delay tail spillover, a built-in looper with 20 minutes of record time, the ability to load custom impulse response files and exclusive original boutique effects that can’t be found anywhere else. Whether you’re looking for a classic warm vintage amp with natural tube drive, wide ambient stereo delay textures with infinite feedback or the heaviest of heavy djent tone, the HeadRush Pedalboard covers it all and everything between.

7-Inch Touch Display

The heart of the HeadRush Pedalboard is the 7-inch touch display and a guitarist-centric, ultra-intuitive user interface – literally touch, swipe and drag-and-drop to instantly create and edit rigs with amazing speed and accuracy. Totaly brilliant, realy easy to use and sounds great. The presets need tweakng for your guitar. Best creating your own patches, and get some impulse responses.

After using the Boss GT series for years, this is a bit different but very easy to use and get great tones.
