What we say:

Have you dreamt of making your electric guitar or bass sound like a squelchy, tempo-synced synth? So have Electro-Harmonix! And they have the skills to bring this dream to life for you with the Blurst Modulation Filter!

This pedal uses an oscillator to send out pulses through your signal that can be frequency manipulated with the pedal's control to give you lots of authentic retro synth rhythms and figures. Dictate the rate of these pulses with the tap tempo footswitch (and tempo subdivision control knob) or connect an optional extra expression pedal to control speed on the fly with your foot as you play.

Get some cool sequencer and analogue synth-style noises with this original and effective pedal.

  • Features an analog low pass filter with adjustable resonance
  • Three modulation waveform shapes: triangle, rising saw-tooth and falling saw-tooth
  • Modulation rate is set by either the rate knob or a combination of the tap footswitch and tap divide toggle switch offering quarter, dotted eighth and triplet rhythms
  • Three EXP modes, range, rate and filter, can be controlled by an expression pedal or control voltage source like EHX’s 8 Step Program Analog Expression/CV Sequencer
  • Range knob sets the frequency range of the filter’s modulation, Blend control adjusts the dry/filtered signal mix
  • Includes an EHX 9.6DC200mA power supply
  • Dimensions in inches: 2.75 (w) x 4.5 (l) x 2.1 (h)
  • Dimensions in mm: 70 (w) x 115 (l) x 54 (h)

If you looking for some creative filter there you go, and can be even not invasive like other filter that I try in the past

Does exactly as described with a simple interface with sounds that range from subtle to outrageous. Certainly not a pedal that could or should be overused but fun. Great idea with the three-way expression pedal selection switch allowing control of range, rate and filter - really nice touch.
