This fantastic Pro Mod DK24 model takes it’s inspiration from Charvel’s top-end Guthrie Govan model, and brings lots of versatile features to the table.
First off, the Caramelised Maple neck has a full two octaves’ worth of frets. This is some neck! Caramelised essentially means ‘baked’, so it is super-light, super-resonant and really strong! Rolled edges make this a pleasure to glide up and down, whilst jumbo frets and a hand-rubbed urethane finish seal the deal of quality here!
This model utilises an H-S-S pickup configuration, and the pickups themselves are pretty special. In the neck and middle positions are two Seymour Duncan SSL-6 Flat Strat single coils, with a Custom Full Shred in the bridge! These are premium, made in the USA pickups and together go some way to making this guitar pretty essential! There is so much versatility available here, from funk to blues, fusion to hard rock, right up to the shred and metal you’d expect from Charvel! The fact is, there isn’t much you can’t do with this guitar!
The bridge on DK24 HSS is a Gotoh 510. This is the ultimate take on the classic ‘vintage’ non-locking tremolo. In practice it’s fantastic: it allows a generous amount of pitch bend and has a great feel. Tuning stability is excellent, too.
This is an instrument that has an appeal far beyond the shred and hair metal players who normally use Charvel. Its a high quality instrument with world-class sounds for everyone. This model is available here in Shell Pink.
