In order to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Page has teamed up with Fender to make a special collection of four Telecaster models based on the very instrument used to bring those early Led Zep songs to life! There are two Custom Shop guitars, one USA made model and a Mexican made Page Tele too.
This USA model opts to recreate Page’s iconic 1959 Telecaster before he went to town on it with the green and red paint! Page has had a hand in the making of all of these instruments, right down to specifying the neck profile (it’s a fifties ‘D’) and the voices of the pickups. These single coils have been made by the Fender Custom Shop and sound phenomenal, balancing muscle with cut. Vintage frets over a 7.25” radius make this a guitar that stays close and true to its inspiration, just as it should be.
The finish here is the correct fifties White Blonde. It’s called the Mirror guitar because Page’s first shot at customisation involved sticking eight round mirrors onto the body. Fender have generously included these mirrors inside the Tweed hardshell case but have wisely decided to hold back on attaching them to the guitar itself. They are there for aficionados if they need them, which we think is a well considered move from Fender.
Alongside all this, you also get Page’s printed signature on the headstock, a custom neck plate, a fantastic ‘stained glass’ strap, a curly cable and a Certificate of Authenticity.
This is the refined choice for the Jimmy Page fan and a fantastic instrument for everybody who loves quality and detail. This is available in very limited numbers so please get in quickly!
