Catalinbread Karma Suture Silicon
Manufacturer's ID: Karma Suture-SI
What we say:
At A Glance:
The Catalinbread Karma Suture Silicon is based on one of the most infamous fuzz pedals of all time, the Interfax Harmonic Percolator HP-1! The Karma Suture isn’t just a straight-up copy, it adds exclusive Density and Diode controls to improve tweakability, allowing you to dial in harmonic resonance and sag. This is a very usable pedal that will become an essential part of your sound as soon as it gets a spot in your pedalboard.
Features We Love:
This isn’t just a distortion pedal, running your signal through its circuit adds magic to your tone. The Suture Silicon can be used to add harmonic shimmering to clean tones, delicious bite to distorted rhythm tones, all the way up to a brutal sagging fuzz that’s great for leads.
Two silicon transistors in a PNP/NPN configuration have been paired with an additional two silicon diodes to create a distinctive sounding circuit that’s configured for asymmetrical clipping.
The cult hit InterFax HP-1 Harmonic Percolator fuzz is a favourite alt rock legend Steve Albini, adopting it as a large part of his signature sound. Whether, the pedal’s rarity, simplicity or unique tone is behind shooting it into cult status is up for debate, but we love that Catalinbread are allowing us to tap into this awesome tone without spending silly money.
- From cleans to fuzz, this pedal always sounds great!
