What we say:

At A Glance:

The Atkin L36 Aged is one of those guitars that you can't help but instantly fall in love with. You could be forgiven for thinking it was from the 1930s due to the incredibly accurate historic aesthetics and tonal quality. Made by hand in England, a great amount of love has gone into this instrument. With a torrified top and hand-scalloped bracing, it truly sings with wonder and would be right at home in Folk, Blues and Americana styles. This is as close as you'll get to a true vintage sounding and looking acoustic but with none of the problems that age can bring.

Features We Love:

Parlor Sized Body

This compact body shape is up there with the best loved acoustic guitars designs in history - and with very good reason! Not only are they extremely comfortable to play and easy to travel with, but the resulting tone is very well balanced. Those who incorporate fingerpicking into their playing will really notice the definition and clarity on offer here.

Hand Made in England

Atkin acoustics are all made by hand in Canterbury by a small team of 7 artisans. The quality speaks for itself in the detailing, sound, projection and finishing.

Torrified Top

This heat process certainly adds a lot of extra character! It dries out the moisture and changes the tone and response of the wood, effectively ageing the sound. The result is an instrument that is new, but sounds like it's a hundred years old! It's astonishing and, more importantly, it works!

Highlights:

  • Traditional aesthetics
  • Tonally rich with excellent clarity
  • Exceptional build quality
  • An excellent choice for fingerpicking styles and solo performers
