What we say:

At A Glance:

The Collings 01 is an expertly crafted acoustic with a sound that far exceeds its humble size. Its width is less than that of a normal classical guitar, so it is easy to get your arm around regardless of what style of music your play. Using premium tonewoods and meticulous care, Collings have pulled out all the stops and have even used Plek machine levelling along with hand fret dressing to ensure it plays and feels as flawless as it looks.

Features We Love:

Nitrocellulose Lacquer Finish

This guitar has had a very thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish applied. While it keeps with the traditional look it also combines with the natural tone of the wood to give a very lively and reactive sound, putting you in full control of your playing.

Tonewood Combination

The tonewoods used on this model give it a unique sound. The Sitka spruce on top and Honduran mahogany back and sides create a crisp tone that also comes across with a warmth and beautiful balance.

Hand Voiced

Each guitar by Collings has a hand selected top that has been picked for its density and rigidity. It's then graduated down to the desired thickness to achieve premium tonal potential.

Highlights:

  • Small body size makes it a great travel guitar
  • Crafted to incredibly high standards
  • An absolute joy to play
