Type G Series

Solar Guitar founder and YouTube celebrity Ola Englund designed the Type G Series of guitars with gigging guitarists in mind. Combining decades of touring experience, he set out with the vision to create an extreme guitar with traditional flavours that offered a wide range of tones and optimised stability for stage performance. With impenetrable tuning stability thanks to the locking tuners and Floyd Rose 1000 tremolo system, a huge selection of sound through the Seymour Duncan Black Winter pickups which can be switched between running in series or parallel, plus Luminlay "glow in the dark" side dots and 24 super jumbo frets. Hand made and overwound for Scandinavian tones, the Black Winter has a tight low end that makes the lower string tones controllable and punchy, string separation is also excellent and offers great clarity even on the most aggressive of gain settings.

All Access Neck Join

Unlike some classic guitars, the G-Series features a contoured cutaway where the neck joins the body which fits your hand as you reach up to the highest frets. The freedom to reach the highest frets without having to reach around the heel of the join matches the rest of the guitar's design that promotes fast and effortless playability.

Luminlay Side Dots

As featured on many of the best modern guitars, the Luminlay side dots let you see where you are on the neck even on the darkest of stages.
