What we say:
At A Glance:
The EastCoast ST2 is EastCoast's superb version of the classic double-cutaway, bolt on neck electric guitar, rigged with a pair of chiming singlecoils and a meaty humbucker in the bridge position. This style of guitar has a legacy going all the way back to the 1950's, and its made appearances for every style of music from country to blues to rock and metal. With premium features like a roasted maple neck and a coil-split switch for the bridge humbucker, this guitar performs well above it's price point!
Features We Love:
Roasted Maple Neck
Roasted maple necks are usually reserved for premium guitars at a significantly higher price. To find a roasted maple neck on such an accessible instrument is a marvel in and of itself. The roasting process has several key benefits, it removes impurities from the wood making it much more stable and resistant to temperature changes, it keeps it in tune for longer, and provides a tone more akin to older, vintage guitars.
Coil-Split Switch
Rigged with a pair of singlecoil pickups in the neck and middle, a powerful humbucker in the bridge position and a 5 way switch, this is a guitar with a classic array of tones to hand. Each pickup brings its own distinct tone, with the in-between positions (2 and 4) offering a completely different but instantly recognisable set of sounds. To top it all off, the humbucker in the bridge can be "split" using the small switch between the volume and tone knobs giving you access to an even wider variety of tones for you to experiment with!
Tremolo System
From Hank Marvin to Eddie Van Halen, what guitarist doesn’t love to use and abuse a whammy bar? With tasteful vibratos, flutters and divebombs at your fingers, this guitar’s tremolo system could become a key part of your own signature sound.
Who Is It For?
This is a guitar that so many players could easily integrate into their collection. An amazing first guitar for beginners and a truly solid addition to an experience players collection.
