What we say:

At A Glance

The Fender PR-180E Resonator Aged Cognac Burst Walnut Fingerboard is a very capable instrument at a modest price point. One of the biggest and best brands around, Fender extends their Paramount Series instruments beyond standard guitars, resulting in many choices all with very high quality. This resonator has a traditional look but plays like a modern instrument, so it won't feel unfamiliar to those who are more used to traditional acoustic guitar playing. It is excellent for Delta Blues and slide guitar but sounds very impressive with fingerstyles too.

Features We Love:

Natural Sound

A key part of any resonator guitar is the natural sound produced by its resonating cone. This is balanced well on the PR-180E by the double f-holes on the laminated mahogany top, giving a warm and detailed sound.

Fishman Nashville Pickup

With the natural sound mentioned above being so important, an excellent pickup system is needed to make sure it translates just as well when plugged in. The Fishman Nashville system does exactly that, keeping every ounce of tone intact for when you need some extra power to your sound.

Small "V" Neck Shape

Many traditional style instruments can suffer from cumbersome feeling necks but this isn't the case here. The Small "V" shape makes for a comfortable and enjoyable playing experience.

Who Is It For?

The PR-180E Resonator would make an excellent choice for those looking for a resonator with a comfortable feel that can be used for live performance and recording. It would make a great first resonator for those looking to add one to their instrument collection and being made by Fender, you know it can go the distance.

Highlights:

  • Comfortable to play for hours at a time
  • A natural sound that can be plugged in when needed
  • Comes with a hardshell case
