What we say:
At A Glance:
The BOSS Katana 210 Bass delivers what the low-end thumpers and pluckers have wanted for a while; a BOSS Katana amp, just for them! The 210 Bass brings into play all the fantastic tone shaping capabilities, powerful versatility and outstanding effects systems you've come to expect from the Katana series, all with that low end twist.
The 210 Bass features 3 main amp type settings to choose from, Vintage, Flat and Modern, letting you run the gamut all the way from mellow old school tones, through crisp, defined jazz and pop sounds, all the way to gritty modern metal tones. Paired with the clever Shape switching section, powerful EQ and 4 assignable FX sections with dedicated Comp and Drive settings, and you have an amp that can quite literally do it all.
It can do it in any situation too! The switchable power level features a 1w output setting, making it quiet enough for home practice, while the small footprint and balanced line out make it highly transport friendly and the perfect tool for getting your own defined tone in any live or studio date!
Features We Love:
Powerful Sound
The Katana-210 Bass brings bass players everything one should expect from the Katana series. Outstanding tone shaping in an intuitive package. The 210 Bass is armed with 160 watts of class AB power for plenty of volume, with three unique amp types to serve as the basis of your sound. Vintage- a classic tube amp voice with natural drive and an organic tone; Flat - a smooth, clear tone with plenty of dynamics and a rich harmonic character, and; Modern - with a quick dynamic response with extended range in the low end. Each type is then of course further customisable and shapeable with the powerful Shape switch and onboard EQ.
Put simply, there's something for every kind of bass player on here, and a whole palette of sounds for those willing to explore.
Huge Tone Palette
The 210 Bass is your perfect amp for any live or studio situation. Six Tone Setting banks let you store and recall preset tonal options including amp type, EQ, Blend and effects settings, so you can have your tone ready to go for whatever kind of gig you've got coming up. There's also a balanced XLR output for sending your own tone direct to the house PA or studio desk, as well as a switch for selecting between Direct, Pre or Post signals. There's even a 1 watt power output mode for home practice!
BOSS Katana Effects
This, of course, is where the Katana series truly shines! The Katana 210 Bass offers bass players 4 independent effects sections. There's dedicated Compression and Drive settings, being near enough the most fundamental and ubiquitous of effects for a bassist, as well as 2 further effects sections where you can assign choices from the treasure trove of options in the BOSS bass effects library. From subtle chorus and flange sounds to wild octave and synth tones. These options are further expandable with over 60 total effects available for loading through the BOSS Tone Studio Editor.
Versatile Speaker Setup
The Katana 210 Bass features a pair high quality 10" woofer, paired with a switchable tweeter. The 10" woofers gives you a stunning, balanced, and above all else HUGE sound right across the spectrum that's perfect for a more traditional bass sound, while still being highly versatile. Engage the tweeter, and you switch on the 210's bi-amping capability to provide an extra level of tonal space in the high end, making it extremely articulate and perfect for really driving home those slap and pick sounds.
