What we say:

At A Glance

Martin pulled out all the stops for the D-18 Authentic 1937 VTS. Featuring an Adirondack spruce top with VTS and genuine mahogany back and sides, this model has undergone some extra tweaks and refinements to make sure it is one of the most accurate vintage instrument replicas available. With its timeless look and jaw-dropping sound, this is a very special acoustic indeed. If you are in search of your dream guitar and love the sound of golden era instruments, this could be the one for you.

Features We Love:

Authentic Series

Martin's Authentic Series recreates vintage instruments as closely as possible. Every detail, no matter how small, has been considered and executed with precision. From the original hide glue construction, 1937 era bracing pattern, period correct appointments, and a newly introduced more accurate body profile, this is the closest you'll get to the real deal from 1937.

Vintage Tone System

With the Vintage Tone System (VTS for short) Martin have developed an ageing process to target certain time periods and age their tone woods to that specific era. This process has used a torrefaction system to give this beautiful guitar an authentic sound character of a vintage 1930s era Martin.

Martin Quality

Martin are known for their incredible acoustic guitars but this takes things to a whole new level. Nothing short of a display of artistic talent, highly skilled luthiers have elevated this instrument to new heights, proving why Martin continues to be one of the top names around.
