Schecter Guitars are a large guitar brand from Van Nuys, California. Schecter Guitar Research started in 1976 as a small boutique custom shop, where David Schecter hand-built replacement parts before moving on to fully assembled guitars in 1979. Nowadays, most Schecter guitars are from their Diamond Series, which are made outside the USA.
