What we say:
At A Glance:
The ESP LTD EC-1001 Tiger Eye aims to bring high performance to guitarists within their LTD range. A striking flamed maple top completed with the Tiger Eye finish demands your attention. Black binding surrounds the perimeter of the instrument, which duets perfectly with the black hardware. Mahogany acts as the main material for this guitar featuring both in the neck and the body. The back of the neck has been finished in satin for smooth manoeuvrability. On the other side of the neck, a Macassar ebony fingerboard holds twenty-four extra-jumbo stainless steel frets. Fishman Fluence Open Core Classic Humbuckers are directly mounted and wired to give 3 distinct sounds in conjunction with the push/pull pots.
Features We Love:
Satin Neck
The satin-finished thin U profile neck will give you a comfortable surface for playing. Players often prefer satin finish necks as they provide less resistance, especially during live sessions when hands often sweat. This is a purely personal preference, but if you have ever found yourself sticking to a gloss neck, it is worth considering an alternative finish.
Fluence Pickups
The Fishman Fluence Open Core pickups utilise new technology to give you a vast array of sonic opportunities. The push/pull controls allow you to access voice three for each pickup. Voice three gives you a silent single-coil sound. The internal workings of this pickup do not operate in the same way as a traditional coil-split. The pickups themselves are printed instead of wound, enabling Fishman to voice these pickups in a way that has never been done before. The result is a single coil sound without compromising tone.
Stainless Steel Frets
Twenty-four extra-jumbo Stainless Steel frets have been worked into the Macassar ebony fingerboard. Stainless Steel will outlast traditional fret material, meaning you have one of the most durable frets currently available. Their increased size makes it easier to fret a note resulting in a faster-playing neck.
Highlights:
- Upgraded TonePros bridge and tailpiece
- Fishman Fluence pickups with 3 distinct tones
- Stainless Steel frets for improved durability
