The last year of the "Les Paul" moniker on the SG Custom was also the first year of the Maestro Vibrola...1963. Gibson Custom Shop has proudly recreated this desirable version of the SG Custom down to the original construction methods and contours. The result is a beautiful, versatile and tremendous-sounding instrument that plays effortlessly. The solid ebony fingerboard and revamped vintage-style electronics help it attain new sonic heights with clarity and sustain. From the dimensions to the contours to the precise inlay patterns to the sonic experience, it's the top of the line SG in every respect!

This item was appraised as follows:
Body: 3 out of 5 - Instrument has been used and shows evidence of its life in the forms of checking, chips and other superficial wear and tear. Metal parts and hardware may be mildly tarnished or stained and cosmetically imperfect.
Neck: 3 out of 5 - The frets have mild wear and/or pitting and may require profiling or replacement in future if the guitar is played extensively, although this work is not required immediately and the guitar plays and frets cleanly at present.
Additional Information: The nitro has started to crack on front and back of body, frets are not pitted but have gone flat with use. Hardware is slightly tarnished.
This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
