About PRS 35th Anniversary

The limited edition guitars made for the PRS 35th Anniversary are nothing short of breathtaking. How else could they celebrate such an auspicious landmark? Since their launch in 1985, PRS Guitars have completely revolutionized the guitar industry. They have raised the benchmark year after year and completely changed our expectations on how guitars should look and feel.

There are four models in the PRS 35th Anniversary Series: an SE Custom 24, an S2 Custom 24, ‘Core’ Custom 24, and a lesser spotted Dragon.

Dragon aside, the definitive feature of the 35th Anniversary models is the inclusion of two mini toggle switches in between the control knobs. This feature is borrowed from the PRS ‘Paul’s Guitar model’ and provides independent coil-splitting of each pickup. The pickups on each model go through a process known as ‘Tuned Capacitance Inductance’ - or TCI for short. This means each pickup is custom wound based on the exact type of model, ensuring that they have all the clarity and definition PRS Guitars are known for.

Our PRS 35th Anniversary guitars come included with a solid guitar case.

Frequently Asked Questions about PRS 35th Anniversary

Question: Where is the PRS SE 35th Anniversary Custom 24 made?
The PRS SE 35th Anniversary Custom 24 is made in South Korea by World Musical Instrument Co.
Question: Are PRS 35th Anniversary guitars better than normal PRS guitars?
The big difference between the 35th Anniversary models and normal PRS Custom 24s is the two small toggle switches. These allow independent coil-splitting of each pickup rather than one push-pull pot which coil splits both pickups at the same time. This allows you to use, say, a humbucker sound at the bridge position and a single coil tone at the neck, with of course the in-between setting of the pickup selector allowing you a blend of both.
