The PRS Studio is Paul Reed Smith's own take on the classic HSS or Humbucker-Single-Single configuration of guitars. Designed and built in Maryland, USA, as part of the PRS Core lineup these guitars are instilled with some of the highest quality you will find from PRS and built to last a lifetime. With a combination of PRS's proprietary Narrowfield pickups in the neck and middle and a 58/15LT humbucker in the bridge the Studio can deliver classic tones with that PRS twist. The Narrowfield pickups themselves are a unique amalgamation of a single coil and a humbucker, delivering focused yet powerful single coil tone without the hum in a much slimmer package than a traditional humbucker. The 58/15LT Humbucker in the bridge is a vintage inspired pickup delivering fantastic clarity, this humbucker was specifically designed to capture the sweet sound of vintage single coil pickups making it the perfect match for the Narrowfield pickups. With a 5 way selector switch and a push/pull tone control the PRS Studio can deliver a huge range of humbucker and single coil tones, combined with the expertly selected timber, each Studio guitar delivers everything you need in the studio and on stage.
