Yes, there is normally no discernible difference in quality between a manufacturer’s production model guitars and those of their limited edition guitars. The differences lie in finish or specification, not in quality control.

Are limited edition guitars a good investment?

It’s difficult to comment on what will or will not be considered a good investment when it comes to buying guitars. That said, collectors always want limited edition guitars, so there is always demand for limited edition guitars.

Which brands make limited edition guitars?

Almost every major guitar manufacturer makes limited edition guitars at one point or another. For example, Fender, Gibson, Schecter, ESP, Jackson, Gretsch, PRS and Squier all issue limited edition guitars from time to time.
