I have been using eights for a number of years now, but then I am of an age that enjoyed the bands of the late sixties and early seventies. Age gets to us all. I embrace it and do what I have to do, which includes using eights. They work perfectly well for me and I do not experience any tonal drop off. Using eights is one of the professional secrets of those guitarists still playing from way back, and they still sound as good as ever. The only downside, in my experience, is that the guitar may need to be set up again but it is only a modest adjustment. For my recent purchase of a Duesenberg Julietta the kind people at Guitar Guitar did it for me. I use eights on all my PRS, Gibson, B&G and Fender Guitars

I always use Ernie balls on my electric. Sound nice and bright. And when that fades, I know its time to change before they break. I rarely have a break with these.

Very comfortable for my old fingers

Best strings. Why work harder than necessary.

Tomas H. - 3/12/2023

They do what they say on the tin.

Len M. - 19/11/2023

Sounds amazing. Looks gorgeous. I changed the strings for lighter ones (my fingers are old) and I changed the screws and knobs for black ones.

Haven't used them yet. Sure they'll do. Would have preferred a different brand but you only had these.
