What we say:

Large and seemingly indestructible, the FV500H from BOSS is a value pedal to be reckoned with.

’Heavy Duty’ does not begin to describe how tough this pedal is! It’s large enough for any foot and has a very smooth sweep. This pedal will withstand tour after tour.

It’s mono and high impedance, so this is suitable for electric guitars. You’ll find a jack output for a tuner and a knob for setting the minimum volume, a very useful feature that isn’t too often found on volume pedals.

This is a serious option for guitarists who play live often. The BOSS FV500H is a pedal you can rely on.

Specification

For 14 years, the famous BOSS FV-300 served as an industry-standard volume pedal. The tradition continued with the FV-50 series, but today the bar has been raised with BOSS’s FV-500L (stereo, low-impedance) and FV-500H (mono, high-impedance, inst. level) pedals. These tank-tough diecast pedals are designed to meet the needs of the most demanding customers. The pedals offer a new stylish design, a road-tough build, and a comfortable, smooth action. Both models also provide an Expression output for use with expression-compatible amps, effects, and even synthesizers.
  • FV-500H: mono, high-impedance, inst. level
  • Heavy-duty aluminum die casting body
  • Ultra-smooth pedal movement for the utmost in comfort and control
  • Pedal rubber is for comfortable play and non-slip action
  • Expression pedal function
  • Convenient tuner-output jack
  • Adjustable pedal feel (torque)

Fantastic volume pedal, good gradual volume curve with the option to adjust the minimum volume. Works fantastically for ambient swells and other similar tasks. Feels very sturdy and well constructed, and the adjustable torque is a useful feature (although I've yet to use it as it's already set in a way that feels comfortable) I would replace it if lost.

Good functionality and totally bomb proof

Andrew B. - 13/4/2022

A good sturdy pedal. The "range" knob works well, and no excess noise caused by the pedal.

George F. - 30/12/2021

Good size in comparison to the Boss Fv50

The pedal was a lot bigger and heavier than expected but I got to see it and make a calculated decision. Used it at Church last Sunday morning. Best volume pedal I?ve ever owned. I don?t use the tuner out function but it?s a nice option. It?s also got an expression out should I ever need it. The pedal is built like a tank. I?m a size 12 shoe and it fits on the pedal comfortably. If you can cope with the size I highly recommend this pedal.

Excellent

N.P. - 9/5/2014

The service was excellent, but the sheer number of newsletter emails and surveys are putting me off buying from guitar guitar again! It is too much!
