What we say:
Seymour Duncan are perhaps the most famous brand of guitar pickups in the world. Since the 70s, Seymour and his team have hand built an ever-increasing range of premium pickups for electric guitar, bass and acoustic instruments.
Seymour Duncan use the best copper wire and magnets to create their pickups. Models range from recreations of vintage classics to, more often, original design pickups that bring a whole new world of sound tho the musician. All styles are catered for, from 50s pop to traditional Jazz right through to the most aggressive modern metal.
Changing pickups in your guitar is the quickest and most cost effective way to alter or upgrade your sound. Seymour Duncan will almost certainly have a pickup that’s perfect for you with a level of quality that’s unmatched.
Supercharge your Strat with one of Seymour Duncan’s most popular pickups, the Hot Rails. This model is designed for the neck position.
The Hot Rails was something of a revolution when it first appeared: the unusual look of the long rails instead of pole pieces marked this out as a fresh idea indeed.
This is a high output humbucker pickup squeezed into the space of a Strat single coil pickup. The rails design lets the pickup take more of the vibration from the guitar’s strings and transfer that into molten Rock tone.
Yes, this is indeed a hot sound! There is loads of output available and a pronounced midrange to the sound, making sure your riffs and solos really jump out at your audience.
If you have a Strat or similar type of guitar and feel like it needs a significantly heftier kick, this is the pickup for you! The Seymour Duncan Hot Rails for neck position Strat is available here in White.
SpecificationHigh output single-coil-size "rails" humbucker. Great for classic rock, garage, punk, heavy rock, thrash, classic metal and nu-metal. One of the highest output and most popular pickups we make. The two thin blades, strong ceramic magnet and powerful coil windings give you the incredible sustain and a fat, full sound that's needed for playing heavier rock music. This pickup responds to the subtlest finger movements. Comes with four-conductor hookup cable. Available for both bridge and neck/middle positions. For an incredibly versatile guitar, use an SHR-1b in the bridge position along with an SVR-1n Vintage Rails in the middle and an SCR-1n Cool Rails in the neck. For all well-balanced instruments. Works equally well with maple and rosewood fingerboards.
