From the V-shaped ‘Vertical Winged’ headstock down this guitar screams Gretsch luxury! White and Gold is always awesome but White and Gold Sparkle beats it for the win! The Gold Sparkle binding is, like much of the other detail on here, taken from the Falcon electric guitars. Being that they are regarded as amongst the most beautiful guitars of all time, that’s no bad thing. This Jumbo 12 string also has a rather excellent triangular soundhole!
This well-heeled Gretsch has a solid Spruce top and laminated Maple for the back and sides. This combination works with the Jumbo body size to create a loud, well-projecting sound that is full and percussive, perfect for singer songwriters who want to make a statement on stage! 12 strings really benefit from bigger bodies: there is double the metal there moving air so the bigger the better.
To facilitate live performances, Gretsch have fitted a Fishman Isys + system to deliver excellent live acoustic sound for you. A side panel gives you control over your volume, tone and even a tuner!
