What we say:

Godin innovate again with the A4 bass. This semi-hollow, forward thinking bass is a mix between acoustic and electric worlds with the potential to utilise synths too.

This 34" scale, 16" radius bass has a Silver Leaf Maple body with chambers cut in to aid feedback resistance and unwanted vibrations on a live stage. This is then topped with solid Spruce.

Under each saddle in the bridge is a transducer for plugged-in acoustic tone. A great Lace Sensor magnetic pickup can be found on the body for 'standard' bass tones and there's also 13 PIN jack socket for using guitar synths (or any other synths really!): all of this can be controlled and regulated form the control panels on the front and side of the body.

It's all tidy and clean looking with a minimalist concept that's stylish and distinctive whilst fitting into most visual genre situations. Take care of multiple bases (pun intended!) with this one capable instrument.

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5 (1 reviews)

The only problem is that Roland do not make a synthesizer compatible with the Godin TO system. This is not Godin's fault. The bass is exceptionally good.
