The handmade C12 features the vintage elegance of a hand-inlaid pearloid rosette inspired by a 1920s Domingo Esteso design and a beautiful flamed maple wedge on its solid Indian rosewood back. Modern design elements also include a lattice braced top and raised fingerboard for easy playability when accessing upper frets. Available with a solid European spruce or Canadian cedar top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides. Other notable features of the C12 include its black and gold tuning machines, ebony fingerboard and adjustable truss rod. Comes with a hardshell Cordoba humidified archtop case.

This guitar is a clear upgrade from my Hoefner HZ23, which I've loved for the last twenty years, in clarity of tone, volume, sustain, and playability on the upper frets (due to the raised fingerboard). A particular highlight are artificial harmonics e.g. in Llobet's El testament de Amelia. I'm eager to wear out the strings so I can justify trying others :)

When I opened the guitar case I was looking at a work of art, and after my first playing of the instrument it played as good as it looked. Fabulous.

Superb instrument and excellent value for money. Comes with very robust humidity controlled case. The guitar includes a truss rod which can be used to adjust the height of the strings - very useful tool. Unfortunately, the key required to operate this which Cordoba states is supplied with all their guitars was not included. However, I assume this will be sent to me upon request when I contact Guitar Guitar and is not a big issue.
