Fender Custom Shop 1964 Jazz Bass NOS Olympic White Master Builder Designed by Jason Smith
Includes Hard Case
What we say:
This wonderful Jazz Bass from Fender's Custom Shop has been designed by Master Builder Jason Smith especially for us and built by the Custom Shop Team! This guitarguitar special represents a lot of what Jason himself thinks makes a fantastic Jazz Bass.
This bass is what's known as an NOS. New Old Stock (NOS) is a Custom Shop term explaining a finishing process that isn’t a Relic but instead simulates a guitar that hasn’t been used at all since it was built decades ago: it has lain in its case since it was made and has little to no wear, no scrapes and only the lightest patina of age present in very light discolouration and fading of parts along with a hint of oxidisation of the metal parts.
We love everything about this bass! It feels so great and well-balanced with a look that makes you proud to play it. A Nitrocellulose Olympic White finish is always going to look cool with a tortoiseshell pickguard, especially with the added style-factor of that awesome chrome bridge cover! The quartersawn maple neck feels beautiful to the touch and the AAA Rosewood fingerboard is an elegant touch.
Handwound single coil Jazz pickups have a nice snap to add to the natural woodiness of a great Jazz Bass sound. This is so playable and easy to fit into a mix, all you have to do is hang it on your neck and get playing!
