The Morgan MVP23 is one of those amps that sounds stunning whether you are using a single coil guitar or a humbucker; whether it’s clean, pushed or flat out! There is not a bad sound to be had from this 23w head. More to the point, there is no sound here that is less than stellar! If you value touch response, dynamics, organic harmonic feedback and more, this is an amp that you’ll just love.
p>As with other Morgan amps, this is a single channel model with relatively few controls, though this has a few more than many Morgans! You get a three way EQ and a gain control as well as a master volume and a Power knob which, as with the other Morgan amps, scales does the power - with no loss of either tone or dynamics - from the maximum 23w to, in this case, 0.25w. You get the same tone and feel, only quieter. Perfect.This head is supremely expressive and can deliver beautiful clean tones right through to three dimensional gain. It’s an incredible musical instrument, not just a box for plugging into and forgetting about. This head is available in the Twilight covering.
