I hate gig bags that are over-endowed with storage pockets on the neck area and with double-up and zip-off type pockets. They are too bulky and with items in the pockets the bags topple over if stood up against something. I like these Fender gig bags because they are well designed and made and have the bare minimum of storage. They instead have concentrated on having good quality chunky zips, soft but strong and comfortable carry handles, and thoughtful inclusions like the plastic bumpers on the end and on the bottom, which would otherwise get damp if stood up against your car on a drizzly night while you open the boot. The smooth non-snagging material inside where the tops of the tuners line up stops the sharp string ends from catching the softer foam lining found in the rest of the inside. I bought this for a mid-range dreadnaught acoustic. For a more expensive one I would have bought the model with thicker padding. 10mm is fine for a guitar that is laid across the back seat of my car without anything likely to fall onto it, but for a more valuable acoustic I would have gone for one of the other Fender ones with deeper padding. The 6 refers to 600 denier outside material and the 10 is for thickness of padding in mm. The 600 denier ones have 10 or 20mm padding, and the 1200 denier ones have 25mm of padding for just over double the price of the 20mm ones. This one suits my needs perfectly. Note that I have another acoustic dreadnaught that is too tight for this bag at the peghead because of the angled design. That guitar does have an excessively long and fairly wide peghead though. The case should fit most standard dreadnaughts.

Well designed with additional fabric layer at bridge and where sharp string ends at tuners tend to scratch and tear lid of soft cases. 10mm of foam gives some extra rigidity and will protect well against most minor bumps and knocks. Just enough zipper pockets to store accessories without being over-endowed with compartments all over the place. Tough exterior will last well, and the inclusion of tough "treaded" plastic around the bottom and the top adds extra protection that allows you to stand the case up on end or on its side (handle up) even on damp surfaces.

Ideal for the job and lots of storage.
