Bought for my son as an upgrade of his first amp. The sound is great and he is very happy with it. I don’t know anything about them but I could tell the difference in sound quality.

This is a fantastic amp with a great sound, built in effects and very easy to use. It can be used as a practice amp via the headphone socket. I'd suggest getting the Marshall Stompware PEDL 90008 programmable foot controller for additional flexibility.

Great amp for the price, and plenty of features to play about with - to find sounds that accommodates many styles and tones of music. Love this amp... the speaker is larger than most amps at similar price. I find 30watts gives great clear quality sound even on very low volume. ??

This is a very smart-looking amp and has a lovely vintage feel! It has a decent-sized 10-inch speaker and isn't too heavy for an old fella (like me) to lug around. There are several built-in effects and my only reservation in giving five stars is that there seems to be a bit more background noise to some of the effects than I had anticipated. That said, it's my first 'electric' amp/guitar setup after playing fifty years of electro-acoustic so maybe I'll get better at making the right adjustments and settings. Overall, very happy so far.

30w may seem small, but this really packs a punch! Excellent choice for playing in the house. Has headphones & phone sockets if you like to use them, works perfectly. EQ is exactly what you need. 4 separate channels across clean & gain, great for saving your preferences for different playing styles. Overall aesthetic and look of the amp is great too. Definitely recommended.

Can't rate this any less as it is exactly what I require, a compact combo for practice and load enough for jamming with. Still to get the optional pedal to get use of the built in effects though the O/D & Crunch mean I can dispense with a couple of pedals.

Absolutely brilliant practice amp, great sound everything you'd expect from Marshall, if I only had one critisim it would be that there could have been something on the back to wrap the power lead around while carrying

A great amp. Purchased to replace an older Vox amp the MG30GFX gives a big range of tone and depth for the guitarist to explore and create their own sound with. I run both an Epiphone Les Paul and a Jackson Rhoads through this.
