D'Addario Planet Waves XLR8 String Cleaner/Lubricant

This is the first time I have used this product and I find it very good.

In early April I contacted GuitarGuitar in the hope of sourcing a guitar stop for an Itchi10 Ibanez guitar. Both Martin and Michael were extremely helpful with my enquiry The suppliers they contacted didn't respond in the time window I had, but GuitarGuitar suggested and supplied an alternative that has worked just fine. The stop is a good size (stem length and head width). I was so pleased with the help from GuitarGuitar that I also ordered the XLR8 string conditioner. Although a bit soon to judge in the long term, and I had just put new strings on the guitar, in the short term, (use over about three weeks), I've found XLR8 a very good product: it's nice and fine (not gunky) and the applicator (a disk of sponge with a convenient handle) delivers only a measured 'dose' of lubricant to the strings (the lubricant therefore doesn't go everywhere, doesn't get all over your fingers, and there 's no waste), so is easy and clean to use . My order arrived very quickly. Thankyou Martin and Michael at GuitarGuitar!

This is a pretty decent string cleaner, very easy to apply. The container is fairly airtight, too (so it doesn't dry out quite as quickly as other well known string cleaners I could name !).

As good as fast fret but may not last as long

As a novice I didn’t realise the difference lubrication makes to your performance, but as in all other applications of life… it really does. Great little handy pot.

A nice "do it myself" kit as opposed to the pre-made ones consisting of things I don't need. Good value and good products.
