What we say:
At A Glance:
The G&L ASAT® Special just might be the quintessential G&L guitar, viewed by many as Leo’s ultimate single-cutaway.
The ASAT Special features jumbo single-coil Magnetic Field Design™ pickups. The MFD construction provides a punchy bottom end and bright top end sparkling with harmonics. This unique guitar stands out from the rest thanks to its Bigsby Tremolo bridge. The result is one of the most versatile guitars ever, serving up ballsy twang to searing blues to smooth jazz tones.
Features We Love:
MFD Long-Pole Split-Coil Pickups
Based on Leo Fender's original Split-Coil prototype pickups. G&L have taken the concept to its full potential by melding the design with Magnetic Field Design technology. Featuring adjustable poles for acute tonal adjustments and that's before the series/parallel switch to blend between buttery and sparkly tones.
One of the most distinctive tremolo systems around, the Bigsby is loved for its subtle tremolo sound. It also gives you the ability to rest your hand on the bridge without creating any pitch warble. It oozes tonnes of vintage vibe and is a tried and tested classic!
