Masterbuilt Construction

Dale has been a Master Builder since 2011 after arriving at Fender in 2003. Prior to joining Fender, he also worked at Dobro and Rickenbacker which gave him a wide range of experience. His high quality of work can clearly be seen in the design of this guitar. It brings together a great mix of classic looks and modern sensibilities. Fender Custom Shop guitars such as this make you realise that it is worth paying a bit more to get something that really stands above a lot of other guitars at a similar price point.

Handwound Pickups

These hot singlecoils deliver a tone that perfectly match the guitar. The middle and neck pickups are uniquely calibrated from string to string for enhanced solo work, while the flat-pole bridge pickup delivers a powerful tuneful punch. Each pickup is individually hand wound and potted with secret “Custom Shop sauce” to curb microphonics while preserving an open yet focused tone.

Heavy Relic

The attention to detail on the heavy relic finish is a real thing of beauty. The Black over Desert Sand has been worn in the appropriate places to reflect years of playing and life on the road.
