What we say:

At A Glance:

At first glance, this Les Paul may look like most others. But dig a little deeper and you'll soon find it has a few tricks up its sleeve...

A classic, this guitar has the usual Les Paul specs, mahogany body, Tune-O-Matic bridge, 22 frets, but what differentiates this model is its set of Push/Pull switches in the volume and tone controls. This gives you a much more comprehensive set of sounds that you're able to achieve, right at your fingertips!

Features We Love:

Push/Pull Switches

Working in conjunction with the ‘zebra’ Burstbucker 61 pickups, these switches provide options like coil-tapping, phase inverting and also a ‘pure bypass’ which allows the electrical signal to dodge the tone circuit entirely. This last option is a pleasant surprise, as the guitar instantly sounds louder and a little brighter.

Slim Taper Neck Profile

The neck profile of a guitar is greatly important to how it feels when playing. The Slim Taper shape on this model offers comfort for the player and gives access to the higher frets allowing you to reach all the way to the top of the fretboard when you're rocking out! However, this is a Gibson after all, although named 'Slim Taper' there is still plenty to grab on to.

Les Paul Shape

Nothing screams rock and roll like a Gibson Les Paul. This distinctive shape is an icon, used by countless musicians such as Slash, Jimmy Page, Billy Gibbons, Joe Perry, and of course Les Paul himself! The Les Paul gives you the sound, and the looks you need to take your music to the next level

Pros:

  • Push/Pull switches give discrete options for extra tone control
  • Slim Taper neck gives great access across the fretboard
  • Iconic Les Paul looks

Customer reviews

Overall Rating 5/5 (2 reviews)

First of all this is a full fat, maximum sugar Les Paul. It has zero weight relief and feels like Gibson have added some lead weights just for a giggle. The trade off is a guitar that sounds epic and sustains into the middle of next week (yes you can make that 'other' spinal tap joke). Build quality is really good and the slightly slimmer neck profile makes it comfortable to play if you don't have hands like shovels. In single coil mode it's a little buzzy but thats to be expected (stick a noise gate in your signal chain - job done). Was torn between this and a standard but i think i made the right choice.

Sounds and looks beautiful. Since I was a child, I wanted a Les Paul, now I?m the proud owner of one. Love it love it love it!
