What we say:
At A Glance
Back in 1976 the Starcaster was released but it was possibly a bit too 'out-there' for the time. Since then it has seen a resurgence in popularity and has been used by the likes of Johnny Greenwood from Radiohead. The Squier Classic Vibe model brings this quirky guitar to the public at price that won't break the bank. With an offset body and a pair of f-holes, it is a very distinctive instrument. The semi-hollow design means it has great tone when played acoustically; great for practice sessions when you don't want to plug in. When you do want to be amplified the Fender Designed pickups take care of business. As with the rest of the Classic Vibe instruments, the quality is excellent.
Features We Love:
The f-holes on the Starcaster certainly add a lot of character but they aren't just there to look good. They contribute to the original sound of the guitar which is then captured by the impressive set of pickups.
Painted Headstock Contour
Adding to the individual style of this model, the painted headstock definitely gives it a look all of its own. It ties in with the rest of guitar and adds flair to an already stand out instrument.
Fender Designed Humbuckers
A pair of Fender Designed Wide Range humbuckers take this guitar to a special tonal place. With a high output full of power, they are definitely ready to create some huge sounds!
