What we say:

At A Glance

Epiphone's Inspired by Gibson Collection just wouldn't be complete without the Les Paul Custom. Dating all the way back to 1954, the Custom was design by Les Paul to be the "tuxedo" version of the classic. It looks every bit as good now as it did then with the Custom style mahogany body and beautiful ebony fingerboard. The 5 ply binding found on both the body and the headstock adds to the lavish aesthetics. The ProBucker pickups produce a wide variety of rich and full tones. The gold hardware is the icing on the cake and completes the look. A truly special guitar that would be a great asset to any guitarist.

Features We Love:

Gold Hardware

Adding an extra bit of extravagance, the gold hardware really makes this guitar stand out as something special. From the tuners right down to the strap button at the bottom, the gold stands out with distinction but also ties in with the overall aesthetics. It is easy to see why Les Paul loved this model so much!

ProBucker Pickups

With a ProBucker 3 in the bridge and a ProBucker 2 in the neck, the big humbucker tones are full and rich sounding. Huge chords and blistering solos all cut through with ease making it perfect for rock and metal. That being said, they can produce smooth and luxurious tones suitable for blues, jazz and even pop.

Graph Tech Nut

Often overlooked, the nut is a very important part of a guitar. It plays a huge role in the overall quality of the instrument due to the constant contact it has with the strings. Graph Tech are known for producing high quality guitar parts and the addition of this nut means that playability, performance and tone are all taken care of.

Highlights:

  • A great example of the Les Paul Custom
  • Perfect for those wanting to stand out on stage
  • A timeless classic that will always be admired

Really great guitar, sounds amazing and looks equally as good

Lewis M. - 30/8/2024

what can i say other than this is the best LP you can buy for under £6oo you can buy the intonation was spot on and action was perfect for me all you have to do is turn the volume and tone back a notch and the sound you can achieve from warm to bright from these burst bucker pro 2 and 3 pickups is superb. and it stays in tune more than can be said for me custom shop LP would recommend to any one looking for a LP.

ROBERT P. - 11/7/2024

Great guitar but the bottom E A D STRINGS ARE BUZZING. So I’m going to have to get the neck and bridge adjusted. Frank Northern Ireland

Really pleased with this guitar. It looks great, sounds great, plays great and I'm really enjoying it. Plenty to like about it. The upgrade to a proper ebony fretboard is nice, and the fact they use decent pickups and decent hardware and electronics means these modern Epis actually sound and feel as good as they look, which you weren't always able to say before.

Really pleased with the guitar!

Jim G. - 28/2/2022

Excellent quality. Well finished and well set up. It has the weight and feel of the Gibson model that I stupidly sold about 20 years ago. pup output feels slightly light but is nothing that my Helix Stomp cannot fix

I'd read lots of positive reviews about the 2020 'Inspired By Gibson' range of Epiphone guitars and a black Les Paul Custom was high on my wish list. At a shade under £600 I decided to take the plunge and I'm not disappointed. The build quality is great, finishing is first rate and the sound is definitely that of a decent Les Paul. At this price point it's hard to fault.

Gordon M. - 4/9/2020

Being my first Les Paul I was sceptical about what it would be like, especially as I had not had chance to "try before I buy". However, I'm blown away by the guitar. It's comfortable, a good weight and the gold hardware really is set off by the black of the guitar. I'll be ordering the white custom pro to add to the collection very soon.
