What we say:

At A Glance

This Ibanez SR300E in Cerulean Aura Burst represents great value for money and provides the player with a solidly built instrument at an affordable price. It is packed with features not usually seen at this price point such as Dual Coil pickups with a 3-band EQ. A lightweight body and smooth neck make it comfortable and easy to play. It can easily cover a variety at styles including metal and rock but would look equally at home in the world of jazz and blues. The beautiful Aura Burst finish makes the instrument look like it is from a much higher range and would make the perfect choice for those looking for their first serious bass guitar.

Features We Love:

PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups

Ibanez developed these pickups with great tone in mind. The multiple exposed pole pieces give rise to a stronger signal and allow the high end frequencies to be captured well without giving up the power of the low end. Perfect for a well balanced and clearly voiced sound.

Accu-cast B120 Bridge

The secure B120 provides the player with a solid piece of hardware. Created with extra wide slots, this allows for heavy gauge strings to be used with no difficulty. The saddles are firmly held in place due to the design and construction of the bridge, so you can focus on your playing knowing that this will be on your side.

Ibanez Custom Electronics

The 3-band EQ allows you to shape your tone and find what you are looking for. A Tap Mode creates a more dynamic single coil sound while the Series Mode produces a warm tone. The Power Tap gives the best of both worlds and allows you to have the clarity and the full sound. A great option to have available.

Pros:

  • Ibanez brand build quality
  • Excellent value for money
  • Perfect choice as a first serious bass

Absolutely loving the bass so far. The action and thin neck really makes it feel easy to play and it really packs a punch. It feels and sounds like an instrument that should carry a higher price tag. I'd recommend one of these to any beginner/intermediate player. The eye-catching colour scheme and sleek appearance are also added bonuses!

Ibanez sr 300e bass guitar. For the money its excellent,i brought it as a temporary instrument which i thought I'd then move on as i didn't expect to much while I'm looking for a higher spec one as my Warwick was brocken beyond repair and i have to say to my absolute suprise this one is a great guitar and ill probably keep it around , to be honest i think its better than the one it replaced and that was much more expensive. I don't think at the price it can be faulted. Id only note the neck is quite thin and you have to get used to that if you're used to other bass makes but you adjust , its not a fender or a Sandberg etc but you wouldn't expect it to be for under L300 All in all a great bass for a spare or for a brilliant first bass , or to be honest just to get one for fun at the price they are , very impressed .
