What we say:
At A Glance:
The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson ES-335 Figured in Raspberry Tea Burst delivers a stunning, true to spec take on the classic 335. As part of Epiphone's superb Inspired By Gibson range, this isn't just an approximation of the venerable Gibson semi-hollow, this is a fully-fledged 335, looking, playing and sounding just like it should - all built to a fantastic Epiphone price point.
This guitar features a handsome figured maple top, with the classic layered maple construction and maple centre block common to the 335, rigged with a pair of Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers. The net result is that classic breezy 335 sound; thicker than a single-coil guitar, a little more nuanced than a Les Paul - perfect.
The Inspired by Gibson ES-335 is rounded out of course, with stunning build quality and components throughout, including the Graph Tech NuBone nut, Epiphone Deluxe tuners and LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge with LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece.
Features We Love:
Pickups
This guitar comes outfitted with a pair Alnico Classic Pro Humbuckers, giving the guitar the ability to sound subtle and smooth, but also crank up for a gnarly piece of vintage bite when required.
Fixed Bridge
You can't beat a fixed bridge for palm muting, tuning stability, easy re-stringing, and it's countless de-tuning possibilities. No fuss, just plug in and rock out!
Semi-Hollow Construction
The Inspired by Gibson ES-335's semi-hollow construction delivers that classic, breezy sound this style is known for. The separate construction of top, back & sides instantly gives your guitar a huge resonance compared to a solidbody, while the solid maple centre-block cuts down on feedback - a serious problem with hollow bodied guitars. Combined with the twin humbucker setup, the result is a sound that's more open softer than a solid body humbucker setup, but still thicker and warmer than a single-coil equipped guitar.
Highlights:
- Wonderful Alnico Classic Pro humbuckers
- Handsome figured maple top
- More than an approximation, this is a fully-fledged Gibson design
- Built to that affordable Epiphone price point
- Stunning quality
- Epiphone quality and performance
