What we say:
At A Glance:
The Taylor 814ce V Class is a high-quality Grand Auditorium acoustic guitar. It is stylish and versatile, proving suitable for a wide variety of genres. It is comfortable and easy to play, and features one of the best acoustic pickup systems available.
Features We Love:
V-Class Bracing
Developed by Taylor’s Master Builder Andy Powers, this is an innovative new style of bracing. It tackles the issue of achieving sustain and tone without sacrificing volume. V-Class bracing allows the guitar’s top to move and vibrate in a more stable manner, resulting in more focus and response from the wood. This control means more volume and projection. The ‘V’ of the bracing travels the middle of the guitar, maintaining rigidity and lending sustain and resonance to your notes. V-Class bracing means a louder, richer sound with better intonation and response.
Luxury Fretboard and Inlays
This spectacular guitar has a luxurious look. It features Taylor’s Element fretboard inlays, made from mother-of-pearl. These are found on a striking marbled Indian Ebony fretboard.
Expression 2 System
This is widely recognised as one of the greatest acoustic pickup systems available. It translates every ounce of tone, detail and dynamic from your fingertips, strings and guitar wood. This gives the audience an accurate and fully realistic translation of your performance.
Highlights:
- Comfortable to play, with a Venetian cutaway and maple armrest
- Versatile Grand Auditorium body shape
- Great pickup system
- Suited to a wide variety of playing styles
Condition Report
Shows clear signs of use. Most evident on the back of the guitar with lots of surface scratches and some scratches that dent the finish. There are some chips and dents on the side of the guitar, as well as a patch of finish that may previously have been covered by a sticker. There is a dent on the neck. The Satin finish on the neck has also started to gloss due to use.
