The Fender Chrissie Hynde Telecaster in Ice Blue Metallic is all sorts of cool. As a founding member and guitarist/vocalist for the Pretenders, Chrissie created a sound that was truly her own. What helped to forge this style and contributed to many years of success was her '65 Telecaster which has been the basis of this signature model. It has many of the same elements as her original and the Road Worn finish gives it just the right amount of character. Over the decades, Hynde has certainly proved that a Tele can do Rock and Punk extremely well and this model is a great way of paying homage to her treasured classic.

Vintage Pickups
These vintage output pickups are an integral part of the unmistakable Hynde rhythm tone. They create a clear sound that sits well in both indie and rock styles, both when used live and on recordings.
Matching Specs
Some of the features from Chrissie's original model have been replicated here in her signature Telecaster. The custom mid '60s maple neck and 7.25" radius matches that of her prized model giving it the same feel and playability.
Chrome Mirror Pickguard
Another aspect of Hynde's '65 model is the chrome mirror pickguard which has been recreated and even includes the natural looking wear spots from her original. Whether you are a fan of the Pretenders or not, you've got to admit that this looks great.
