The JD-08 sound module by Roland expands on the acclaimed Boutique series. Paying tribute to the legendary JD-800 synthesizer, JD-08 is host to authentic waveforms and presets straight out of the original JD-800.
The JD-08 offers the same hands on approach that made the original a dream to work with, as well as featuring a two part 64 step polyphonic sequencer, an arpeggiator and built in effects.

Boutique
The Boutique series was launched a few years ago to pay tribute to the classic Roland synthesizers and drum machines that are still in demand and used on recordings to this day. Using innovative circuit modelling technology, the Boutique series captures the sound and subtle characteristics of each piece of equipment to truly offer you the essence a legendary synth and a compact and fun format.
JD-800
The JD-800 broke new ground upon its launch by offering an intuitive and reactive hands on experienced compared to the notoriously complicated digital synths of the 1980s. It's easy to create any sound you can dream up and the results were warm and cutting edge for the time. Some notable JD-800 users include Depeche Mode, Tony Banks from Genesis, The Prodigy and Faithless.
Multitimbral
JD-08 is two part multitimbral which gives you the ability to generate two sounds simultaneously. This is great for playing over a sequenced part or for controlling the synth using more than one keyboard.
Sequencer
The two part 64-step polyphonic sequencer takes advantage of the JD-08's multitimbrality to bring exceptional sequencing power for such a small synth.
K-25-M Keyboard
JD-08 is compatible with the proprietary K-25-M Boutique keyboard. Each Boutique synth can slot straight into the keyboard and used like a stand alone synth without any cables.
Built-In Interface
The built-in audio and MIDI USB interface makes using the JD-08 with your computer and music software extremely easy.
