What we say:
At A Glance
This Lakland Skyline 55-02 Deluxe is a real modern performer. Crafted with the same electronics as the USA models the more affordable Skyline models provide a truly professional tone and quality at a more manageable price. This model is complete with a roasted maple neck to keep it even more reliable for professional players.
Features We Love:
Lakland Pickups
Crafted in their USA Workshop these are the same pickups used on the USA models. These pickups offer a clear tone with a smooth top end and tight low end. Perfect for modern styles these pickups have a great contemporary sound.
Lakland Neck
Much like the pickups this is the same profile and 35" scale design that is featured on their USA models. This keeps everything feeling premium while also providing that extra low-end tightness for the B string. Tones will be punchy and clear.
Roasted Maple Neck
An excellent modern addition to keep things stable and reliable. Roasted wood has been treated in a Kiln to specific temperatures which reduces moisture content within the wood thus resulting in a stable resonant piece of timber that moves less with changes in the climate. So if you're gigging from city to city this bass will always play exactly how you set it up.
Who Is It For?
The player after a contemporary and professional bass. USA pickups combined with the renowned Lakland neck design gives players a reliable great sounding instrument without the full USA price.
Highlights:
- Roasted maple neck
- USA pickups
- Lakland neck design
- Stunning looks
Condition Report
There is a small chip on the top of the headstock at the slight underside. There is a very slight finish imperfection below the second pickup, showing as a small circle in the finish.
