This Sunset Boulevard Studio model marries that design approach with the unique aesthetic touches of this exclusive offering. It starts with Taylor’s best-selling cutaway Grand Auditorium body style and features the classic all-solid-wood tonewood pairing of Indian rosewood and Sitka spruce. Premium voicing enhancements include Taylor’s V-Class bracing architecture and a torrefied (specially roasted) soundboard that yields a more played-in sound from first strum. Rosewood’s high-fidelity tone, featuring rich lows and bell-like highs, gives players a colorful and versatile sonic palette to explore. Among the standout aesthetic details are a full-gloss body that visually amplifies the rosewood’s beautiful woodgrain and the Sunset Edgeburst top. Other distinctive details include chamfered body edges with black and white top purfling, a three-ring rosette with alternating black and white purfling, a faux tortoiseshell pickguard, Taylor’s onboard ES2 electronics, and a structured, padded gig bag with built-in backpack straps and two carrying handles.
