Blending elements of the Explorer™ and Firebird™, the RD’s distinctive silhouette is unmistakable. Its sculpted mahogany body features elegant 7-ply top binding and a contoured back for comfort. A LockTone™ Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece ensure rock-solid intonation and sustain, while Posi-Lok™ strap buttons keep your strap secure without extra hardware. The 25.5” scale mahogany neck sports a fast-playing Modern C profile and a bound ebony fingerboard with 22 stainless steel medium jumbo frets and eye-catching Super 400-style pearloid split block inlays. A 10”-14” compound radius makes chording and bends effortless, and the extended scale length is ideal for drop tunings. The 5-ply bound Kalamazoo headstock is fitted with locking Grover® Rotomatic® tuners, a Graph Tech® nut, and mother-of-pearl Epiphone and Custom split diamond inlays.
