Taylor’s flagship 814ce gets the special-edition treatment with premium, all-solid tonewoods, comfort-focused enhancements, and a color palette that evokes the sunbaked hues of Arizona’s red rock canyons. The 814ce Special Edition Sedona boasts a solid Western Red cedar soundboard—with a shaded edgeburst—paired with solid Indian rosewood back and sides in a gloss-finish Grand Auditorium body with a Venetian cutaway. The result is a richly textured sound with warm lows, clear trebles and remarkable touch sensitivity. V-Class interior bracing enhances volume, sustain and intonation along the entire smoky ebony fretboard. A slender Taylor neck delivers familiar playability, while a radiused Indian rosewood armrest takes the edge off your strumming arm. Mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays showcase the design of our 800 Series between 2004 and 2013. Additional special-edition appointments include a single-ring green abalone rosette with Indian rosewood/maple/black purfling, Hard Rock maple body and soundhole binding, ebony fretboard and peghead binding, a Hard rock maple back strip, an Indian rosewood pickguard, and ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots. Equipped with Taylor polished bronze tuners and ES2 electronics, the 814ce Special Edition, Sedona ships in a deluxe hardshell case.
