An eye-catching aesthetic complements the rich tonal character of this special-edition take on our flagship 814ce. A hand-selected Sitka spruce top with Bearclaw figuring is paired with solid Indian rosewood back and sides in a cutaway Grand Auditorium body, serving up rich sparkle and lush overtones that complement its clear trebles and warm lows. Tone-enhancing V-Class bracing increases volume, lengthens sustain and improves intonation. A slim-profile Taylor neck delivers a hand-friendly fretting experience while a radiused Indian rosewood armrest takes the edge off your strumming arm. The body and neck are artfully hand-sprayed with a charcoal edgeburst, which is accentuated by a highly-variegated fretboard marked by contrasting streaks of light and dark ebony. Mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays showcase the design of our 800 Series between 2004 and 2013. Additional special-edition appointments include a single-ring green abalone rosette with Indian rosewood/maple/black purfling, Hard Rock maple body and soundhole binding, ebony fretboard and peghead binding, an Indian rosewood pickguard, and ebony bridge pins with green abalone dots. Equipped with Taylor satin black tuners and ES2 electronics, the 814ce Special Edition, Charcoal ships in a deluxe hardshell case.
