The fantastic, all-solid 400 series from Taylor is crisp and modern with a range of great sounding acoustics, all topped with Alaskan Sitka Spruce. You can choose your model to have either solid Rosewood or solid Ovangkol for the back and sides. While these woods are sonically similar, they do have their own properties: Ovangkol has more of a pronounced midrange (not too much though, it has great balance) compared with Rosewood, which definitely has a little extra on the top end. Visually they look very different, so that may also influence your choice. Either way, we think Taylor’s 400 Series represents an excellent long term purchase for players, gigging or otherwise, who want a special playing experience every time they pick up their guitar.

Body: 4 out of 5 - Item shows some mild and/or minor signs of use such as superficial swirling or hazing to the finish. There are no substantial dings, dents or scuffs which break the finish.
Neck: 4 out of 5 - The frets are in good order and the instrument plays cleanly and intonates accurately across the fingerboard.
This guitar has been restrung with D'Addario strings.
