Jon Gomm, a singer-songwriter from the UK with incredibly virtuosic guitar ability, wrote his first song at the age of six and has never looked back. After taking the world by storm with his performance video of his song ‘Passionflower’, which went viral in 2012 and catapulted Jon to the forefront of the acoustic fingerstyle movement, Jon has toured the world and has cultivated a dedicated and supportive fanbase. Jon’s guitar playing style is highly technical, unique and, most importantly, incredibly musical, acting as the perfect accompaniment for his soulful and melodic vocal delivery. When listening to Jon’s music, it is hard to believe that all of the sounds are being created by only Jon and his guitar. Jon is able to create the sound of a full band in real time with his guitar, which provides the perfect soundscapes for his songs. With several years spent on research and development, Ibanez developed their new X-M bracing design. The carefully designed scalloped X-bracing, features strategically positioned tone and finger braces, which transmit string vibration more efficiently through the bridge, to the body, greatly enhancing the quality and projection of the sound. This modified X-M Bracing design creates a highly responsive sound with a wide dynamic range, but it also emphasizes a focused low-end, which perfectly complements modern fingerstyle playing. The bracing also under goes a Thermo-Aging process, making it lighter while adding structural stability for improved resonance.

A 25 3/4 inch scale helps to maintain proper tension and pitch even while down tuning, a technique modern finger players often utilize. This scale-length also delivers improved sustain.
