After thirty two years of building acoustic instruments, Bill Collings decided to build electric guitars. It was a surprise to us all, but I suppose it was just an extension of his love for carving tops. Bill started building archtop guitars in the 80's and expanded to mandolins in 1999. In a way, it's a natural progression.

Neck: 4 out of 5 - The frets are in good order and the instrument plays cleanly and intonates accurately across the fingerboard.
