One guitar to rule them all: the Fender Stratocaster is, and has for 70 years, been the most versatile electric guitar yet invented. As almost every notable guitarist on the planet has discovered, there isn’t much a Strat can’t do: from surf twang and soulful blues through arena stadium rock and psychedelic meltdown through to neoclassical shredding, the Stratocaster is a guitar which is jack AND master of all trades.

Condition Report

At guitarguitar, we award our used gear a grade from 1-5 according to its overall condition, with 5 being the best.

This item was appraised as follows:

Body: 3 out of 5 - Instrument has been used and shows evidence of its life in the forms of checking, chips and other superficial wear and tear. Metal parts and hardware may be mildly tarnished or stained and cosmetically imperfect.

Neck: 3 out of 5 - The frets have mild wear and/or pitting and may require profiling or replacement in future if the guitar is played extensively, although this work is not required immediately and the guitar plays and frets cleanly at present.

Additional Information: Serial number on neck and body match and confirm they were built in 1979. The pots date later to 1981 which is typical of Fenders built in this era where final assembly could take a long time. In very good condition for its age. There is minimal tarnishing to the hardware. The finish has worn away in places around the bottom of the body and it is a bit scratched on the underside of the body. There is one small dent on the back of the neck.

This guitar has been restrung with Dunlop Strings

Accessories Included with this item are as follows: Non-original Kinsman Tweed hard case.
