What we say:
At A Glance:
A well balanced mix of elegance and opulence, the D-41 is one of Martin’s more attention-grabbing pieces. Abalone and gold abundantly decorate the surface of this classic dreadnought. An Ebony fretboard with large hexagon inlays, a large vertical heritage headstock logo, abalone-inlaid rosette and binding…all of this on an iconic Spruce topped, Indian Rosewood back-and-sided dreadnought: what else is there to say except it’s an outstanding example of Martin guitar building. This is a guitar for life.
This D-41 is part of the Reimagined Series. The Reimagined Series is, as the name suggests, a new perspective on the famous Martin Standard range. The changes are subtle but welcome: the clear coat finish has a tinted toner to give a more aged appearance; the headstock bears an older-style logo & open gear tuners; the body has aged binding and the neck is a modern carve for a more comfortable feel. All of these little changes accumulate to give this Reimagined D-41 a fresh, refined look that is entirely in keeping with Martin & Co’s rich heritage.
Features We Love:
Stunning Appointments
This model is packed full of stylistic appointments. Gold hardware, abalone in the fretboard, rosette, bridge pin dots, and body trim, this model is kitted out and it looks fantastic!
Modified Low Oval Neck Shape
This neck shape is suited to those with smaller hands or who prefer a slimmer neck. With this model, you'll be able to play for hours on end without hand pain getting in your way.
Martin Forward Shifted X-Brace System
Martin's X-Brace system dates back almost 200 years, designed to present the perfect balance between reliability and optimised tonal quality, in a guitar that will last a lifetime. This "forward-shifted" and scalloped design moves the X towards the neck and removes wood mass, retaining support and rigidity whilst allowing the section behind the bridge to resonate. The result is a reliable guitar that is loud and offers a spectacular bass response, pronounced tone and singing resonance.
Highlights:
- Stunning appointments really take this model to the next level
- Modified Low Oval profile neck is slim and feels great to play
- Martin's Forward Shifted X-Brace delivers confident sound with great bass response
